Évora (Portugal) – a 3D model of the roman city of Liberalitas Iulia

Informative video regarding a ongoing project centered around the 3D reconstruction of the city of
Liberalitas Iulia, now Évora, located in Portugal, in the region of central Alentejo.
The video pretends to briefly demonstrate the aim of the final project, in which it will be possible to wander around this
virtual city, acessing information regarding the sites in which we have archaelogical information.

For the reconstruction, we set the 2th century b.C., a moment in which Liberalitas Iulia was not surrounded by walls,
defining itself as a commercial city, an important middle urban center, connecting the coastal area of the ancient province
of Lusitania, with the iberian inlands, more specifically with the province capital of Emerita Augusta, now the city of Mérida, in Spain. Ver vídeo…
